PLAYGROUP - Nov. 17

At this playgroup we will be making a Thanksgiving/Thank You God placemat for the children. Would the mommy's please give Steph 3-5 pictures for each child depending on the size (the placemat will be on 12x12 construction paper with other embelishments). These can be photos of family members or other cut outs from a magazine etc. If you can put them in her mailbox ahead of time, she will crop them before that Tuesday to make the craft run smoother, but if you bring them the day of play group that will be fine. Please provide photos you don't need back as they will be laminated. If you can't find pictures, she will have items for them to paste on their placemat.

They have many wonderful things to see and do. A Fish Room with 800 Aquariums of fish, plants, and invertebrates, a Reptile Room, an Aviary, Small Pet Room, and a Touch Tank where children are welcome to touch large fish, sting rays, and other interesting creatures.

Play Group - October 20,2009

We will be continuing with our pumpkin theme. There will be fun cut outs and decorations to create your own pumpkin. There will also be coloring papers and playdough. Join us in the youth room. See you there!

CHANGE IN PLAYGROUP

We will be cancelling playgroup this Tuesday the 6th and instead having it next Tuesday the 13th at 1:00. The hayride at Raabs is available at this time. We will be meeting at Raabs Fruit Farm in Dallastown at 1:00. The cost of the hayride is $6.00 per person. This price includes the 45 minute hayride, picking 2 pumpkins, gourds, 4 apples, applesauce and apple cider. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. There has been a conflict in scheduling our playgroup on Tuesdays. The homeschooling association has reserved the gym and surrounding rooms on Tuesday mornings. Would anyone be interested in moving our playgroup to Mondays? This would make it possible for Steph to still join us. We can keep it on Tuesdays, however, we would have to use one of the smaller rooms in the other part of the church and would not have as much room. Please give us your opinions so we can pick a day that would hopefully work for everyone. Thank you!

In case of rainy weather, please head to the church's multi-purpose room where we will celebrate fish

Join us Thursday from 9:30 -11:00 at the park on the corner of Eastern Blvd. and Locust Grove Rd. There is a creek at this park so if your child would like to get wet,
please plan accordingly. If it rains, we will cancel playgroup due to CEF day camp at the church.

July Mom's Night Out

Tickets available for Women of Faith Conference in Philadelphia

September 19th

A group is leaving from Hellam at 6:15 am in vans and SUVS.

Lunch will be provided for a small fee or you can buy lunch there.

The conference ends at 4:00 and the group will be stopping on the way home for dinner.

The cost is $75.00 and the money is needed by June 30th.

You do not need to stay the full time.

Our Theme in March will be books

Have your children bring in their favorite book to show to their friends.
Also, if your child would like to dress up as one of his or her favorite book characters, we would love to see who they like to read about. Please feel free to keep it simple. (There will be dress up clothes provided for them to do dramatic play, so don't feel like you need to go buy anything if you don't have something at home)
We will color pictures and make book marks.

Date Night

If you and your man want to enjoy a romantic evening away
(or if you just need a little break and want to do some shopping)...
there will be free babysitting at the church
on Friday, February 20th from 5:30 to 8:30.
Dinner will be provided and we will eat around 6:00.
There will be crafts and activities and we will close the night out
with a movie and snack.

Playgroup-February 5th

There will be Valentine crafts for the kids to make and
we will be making Valentines for some of those who are hurting or need encouragement.
Feel free to bring Valentines for your children to exchange with the other kids.
We are going to meet in the 4 and 5 year old Sunday School Class (near Pearl's office)
