Hi everyone!
I am in charge of playgroup this month. January 3rd we are going to do snowflakes with the theme "God made you unique, just like a snowflake". Unfortunately, I am not sure if I will be there. My family is sick as of this point- I hope we are better by Monday. But if not, if I drop everything at the church, can someone else run the group?

January 17th we will be making calendars. I will need a head count to make sure I have enough crafts for everyone.

PLAYGROUP UPDATE

Starting January 3, 2011 we will be having playgroup every monday. The weeks we are adding will be open play in the gym with coloring and playdough set up. Each person should bring their own drink and snack on these days as well.

JANUARY MOMS NIGHT OUT

Join us at Angie Busers house Monday, Jan 3 at 6:30. She will be making pork BBQ and hamburg BBQ sandwiches. Please bring a side dish, drinks, or dessert. RSVP below or to Angie. Hope to see you there!

DECEMBER 20 PLAYGROUP

Join us Monday, December 20 at 9:30 in the gym for some Christmas crafts and fun.

DECEMBER 6th PLAYGROUP

TINY TUMBLERS

For the months of November and December we will be having tiny tumblers the 3rd Friday of the month. The dates are November 19 and December 17 from 11-12pm. Hope you can join us!

Thanksgiving Theme

1 - Decorating sugar cookies with fall sprinkles for favor bags ( bake cookies )

2 - Decorate and put together "thank you" notes for deacons, trustees & cleaning family. Once cookies are baked place cookies in baggies to attach to thank you cards

3 - Net apples from kiddie pool instead of bobbing for apples

4 - Work on turkey craft kit

5 - Pretzels, gummy snacks and apples and water

6 - Turkey Stories

7 - Remaining free play in gym

If able, please bring one or more canned or non perishable items to put into the Thanksgiving baskets that the deacons will be handing out to families in need from the GBC Mom and Baby Group.

In order for Angie to plan accordingly, please RSVP if you are able to come to these. We understand if something comes up and you need to cancel but this will help in knowing how many things we will need. Please RSVP by the Wednesday before the playgroup ( Oct 27th for the first date and November 10th for the second) Hope to see you there!

NOVEMBER MOMS NIGHT OUT

RAABS HAYRIDE

We will be going to Raabs Fruit Farm in Dallastown on Monday, October 11 at 1pm. There will be a 45 minute hayride, apple/pumpkin/gourd picking, apple sauce and apple cider. The cost is $6.oo per person ( this even includes babies). The church will cover half of the cost so it will only be $3.00 per person. Please let Pammie know if you are interested in going. OCTOBER PLAYGROUP

We will have playgroup Monday, October 18th at 9:30AM. We will meet at Yoe Park for some fun. If it is raining or too cold, we will meet in the church gym.

Our theme will be a nature/harvest party. We will make either nature bracelets or nature artwork, decorate pumpkins, and have pumpkin cookies and apple cider as a treat. Hope to see you then!

OCTOBER 5 PLAYGROUP

TINY TUMBLERS PLAYGROUP

We have set up a time for tiny tumblers for our playgroup the 4th Friday of every month from 11:45-12:45. This month it will be on September 24th. Tiny Tumblers is basically a gymnastic center - there are trampolines to jump on, uneven bars and high bars to hang on, lots of mats to jump and fall on...the website is www.tinytumblers.net for more info.

It really is a fun place for the kids to play. It costs $ 3.oo per child over 15 months. We have to have 5 paying children to hold the event. Please RSVP to Heather Herr if interested. This will be a monthly event as long as there is interest.

SEPTEMBER PLAYGROUPS

Because of the holiday we will be meeting on Monday, Sept 13 and Monday, Sept 20. Bring a bike or scooter along for your child and there will be other activities as well. If the weather is nice, we will be outside. If not, we will have it in the gym.

July Playgroup

We will meet at Yoe Park (From South Main Street in Yoe turn onto East Philadelphia Street and go up the hill to the park) on Tuesday, July 6 from 9:30 – 11:00 to play, do an eye spy hunt and celebrate our great nation’s birthday. The park is shaded and has all new equipment (see pics). If it rains, we will meet at the church for Independence Day crafts. Please leave a comment if you plan to attend so that I can get enough water, snacks and crafts.

We will also meet on Tuesday, July 20 (location and activity to be determined and posted later).

JUNE 22 PLAYGROUP

We will be meeting Tuesday, June 22 at the church. Denny Nagle and his partner will be bringing their ambulance to show the children. If you would want your child to make a card or picture thanking them for their service to the community, feel free to bring it along that day.

June 7th Playgroup

Join us Monday, June 7 at the park on the corner of Eastern Blvd and Locust Grove Road. There is a creek at this park, so you may want to bring a towel, change of clothes, etc, for your child. If it rains, we will meet at the church.

MAY PLAYGROUPS

For the months of May and June we will be having playgroup on Mondays. Sorry for any inconvenience for anyone. Hope you can still come. I will have a poll during the summer to see who will be able to do playgroup in the fall and what day would work best with little ones going to school. Hopefully we can find a day to accommodate peoples schedules.

Monday, May 3 - Hopefully the weather will be nice enough to be outside for riding toys, bubbles, sandbox, chalk, etc. If not we will still do riding toys in the gym and I will put out some crafts as well.


Monday, May 17 - Weather permitting we will meet at Windsor Park. If it rains we will meet at the church for indoor activities.
