January Mom's Night Out

Our next moms night out will be on Monday, January 7th at 6:30 in the women's Sunday school classroom at church. We will be having a baby shower for Crystal. She knows about this but we wanted to show her our support as she adds to her family. She is having a boy and said what she really needs is diapers (in all sizes), wipes, bath stuff, lotions, balmex etc. We will be having appetizer/finger type foods. December Playgroups

December 3rd: To keep with our Theme of “Giving and Sharing” we will be decorating simple Christmas cookies and encouraging the children to give them to a friend, family member or neighbor. We will be singing songs and reading stories to start preparing our hearts for the Christmas season. December 17th: We will have a Birthday Celebration for our King, Jesus. ***Please seriously consider participating in our Ministry to the residents of Manor Care Kingston Nursing and Rehab center on January 21st. We will be doing a craft, enjoying a snack, reading a story and singing a couple songs. The children will not be expected to perform; simply interact with the residents based on their comfort level. This is a wonderful opportunity to gently introduce our children to the gift of serving in a non- threatening way. Definitely the more that participate the more impact we will have.

Mom's Night Out

Join us December 3rd at Panera Bread at 6:30. We are going to do a cookie exchange, so please RSVP by November 30th to allow everyone time to make their cookies. You will need to bring 1/2 dozen cookies per person who has signed up. If you do not want to do the exchange, please note that with your RSVP. Call Kim or Regina if you have any questions.

Date Night!!!

Are you and your hubby ready for a night out? Drop you children off at the church on December 7th from 5:30-8:30. We will provide games, crafts, pizza and a movie. Please sign up below so that we can be adequately staffed.

November Playgroups

November 12th -- The mats will be out so that your children can burn up some of their energy doing a little tumbling. Please have your child bring along a canned good to donate for the Thanksgiving baskets. November 19th -- Free play!! Bring along your bike, scooter, roller skates, etc.

October Playgroups

October 1st : Free play at the church. October 8th: Meet at Flinchbaugh’s Orchard and Farm Market 110 Ducktown Rd, Hellam at 10am for their Fall Festival activities. If you want to look at their website it is www.flinchbaughsorchard.com They are having a scheduled event open to the public from 10am -4pm which includes Wagon ride for $1, walk through the pumpkin patch and pick your own pumpkin you pay for the pumpkin you pick $1.50 -$7 depending on the size, a straw maze which is FREE and Tractor course (which is tricycles) which is FREE. Now remember this event is open to the public so we will be with other children and families. Please pack a water bottle for your children, Stephanie will bring a snack. If it rains there will be no alternative activity use your discretion if you want to participate in the Fall Festival anyway. October 15th: We will be doing a craft for Pastor Steve and Pastor Aucker for Pastor Appreciation Month. We will be decorating a notebook/binder for them with the children’s handprint and pictures. Please bring a small picture of your child. We would love to have as many children involved as possible. If you would like to participate however you are unable to make it to playgroup please create an imprint of your child’s hand either by tracing it and coloring it in or using a washable ink pad or paint to copy their handprint, put their name on it and/or provide a small picture of them. We will be making a collage so if your child prefers to draw a picture for each pastor this is great too. Please keep it to about 4x4 inches so everyone’s artwork will fit on the binder/notebook. Please put them in my mailbox by October 22nd. I will make sure they are included in the project. Mom’s feel free to include handprints and pictures of yourselves too if you wish. October 22nd: Free Play at the church.

September Mom's Night Out will be on the 10th (due to Labor Day) at Regina's house. The theme will be, "make your own salad." Regina will provide the salad greens and drinks. Everyone needs to sign up with what salad topping you will be bringing (ie. tomatoes, dressing, etc...)

We will meet at the Lock 2 Café at Long Level in Wrightsville at 6:30pm. This is a quaint café along the Susquehanna river that serves light meals such as soup, sandwiches, subs and ice cream. The view is amazing. We can sit at the café and watch the sun set or we can take a stroll along the river or we can take an adventurous hike on the Native Trail. Head South once you exit Route 30 until you get to a stop light. Turn left onto 462, heading East through Wrightsville. In Wrightsville follow the main street(462) to 624 South. 462 branches right in a 'Y' right before you cross the Susquehanna River. You want to go left, don't cross the Wrightsville-Columbia Bridge. After the bridge entrance, Route 624 makes an abrupt turn right. Proceed 5.2 miles along 624 South to a stop sign, the intersection with Long Level Road. We are located at 2092 Long Level Road off of Route 624 right along the Susquehanna River. Long Level Road branches off to the left of 624. Go 3 blocks, straight with the river on your left. That will bring you right to our porch! PLEASE NOTE: Your GPS unit will not bring you directly to Shank’s Mare. Your GPS will take you to a stop sign that says right turn keep moving. Stop at that sign and proceed STRAIGHT, keeping the river on your left. We are just a few blocks down that road.

Windsor Wonderland is at the intersection of Freysville Road and Windsor Road. June 25: The Porta's house. The kids can play outside and enjoy the creek/swing set/trampoline.
