July is Park month!!!! We will be meeting at the below parks for some fun and fresh air. Be sure to bring a snack and drink for your child/children.
July 11
Cousler Park (Manchester Township)
- A bit of a drive, but well worth it if you have not been to the new playground. Kids of all ages will enjoy the enclosed, handicap accessible play area, including games, pretend play, climbing activities, and water sprinklers. Parking for the new playground can be accessed from the entrance on Greenbriar Road (across from CSY).
July 18
Rocky Ridge
- Next to the Brown Thrasher Pavillion there is a new bamboo play area in the shade and a playground the kids will enjoy. Enter the park from Deininger Road (from Mt Zion Road / Rt. 24) and turn left into the first parking lot. Here is the link of the park map to see where to go for Brown Thrasher Pavillion. http://www.yorkcountyparks.org/parkpages/2009maps/2009%20Rocky%20Ridge.pdf
July 25
Nixon Park
- Enjoy a morning with nature. Explore the animals inside the Nature Center and then perhaps we'll encounter some animals in nature on a half-mile trail walk. (If you participate in the libraries' Get Outdoors York program, this will lead to a checkpoint location.)
